The island is located in the territory of Yemen is a desert island inhabited around 40,000 people. Socotra name itself is derived from Sanskrit which means 'Island of Happiness'.

So what does that make me impressed with this island?! When viewed through the beach does not have an odd glance. White sand, coral rock, crystal clear sea water, rich beaches in Indonesia is also not less interesting to the beach on the island of Socotra. But .. liat deh first trees and plants that exist on this island .. Huaaaaaa, mantep gile ...

Weird! Clay rich taste of plant from another planet! No wonder hell .. Because many trees and plants on the island is included in the category of endemic flora, which means there will never be found anywhere else in the world except the island of Socotra. There are even some varieties that had been predicted to reach age 20 million years louh! Waoooo mantep coy ...

 

Well, this is the first. Trees with a very odd shape and we certainly will never temuin on any page or area name is the Dragon Blood tree or dracaena cinnabari. The shape is weird right?! Similar to the spacecraft or the like mushrooms if diliat from above. This tree, by local residents, commonly used as sources of drugs 'all sorts' type of disease. It is said that this tree is also used as ingredients for magic rituals in medieval times. And this certainly would be my favorite tree for the background image if someday I get to the island of Socotra.

Ever heard about Adenium plant? That loh plants that love to have in pots that looks rich but flowering taro bogor, if people say cambodia japan (bener yah??) .. Well, if ordinary Adenium hell, we've often rich clay. But deh Adenium clay in the island of Socotra. Adenium obesium or Latin name is also called Desert Rose. Adenium this type of wealth would not fit deh kalo placed at the pot. Gede really great But these plants do not need soil rich deh. aja lay enough rocks and he became this big (really gedeee)

If that was said, still a family together cucumber tree. Socotranum Dendrosicyos name. I own does not ever see the name cucumber tree, but my feeling says that the tree cucumber in Indonesia will look much different from this one and only exist on the island of Socotra as there socotranum name (hehehe) ...
